Golf is a game that can be played for a lifetime. A child hitting their first ball or an individual who has played their whole life can enjoy it. Regardless of a player’s age, it’s never too late to start playing the game. So, how does a beginner or a regular player take their game to the next level? The professionals at Grand Geneva offer a wide range of clinics and instruction for players of all skill levels, and even individuals who have never picked up a club. With a practice range, short game area, and massive putting green, the Grand Geneva professionals have the tools and knowledge to elevate your game.
Grand Geneva offers Ladies’ and Men’s Clinics every Thursday all summer long. Taught by Grand Geneva’s Head Golf Professional, Rick Leslie, the clinic goes over the golf basics consisting of putting, chipping, iron shots, and drivers, all necessary items to elevate one’s golf game. Rick starts the clinic with an overview of the determined subject, giving detailed techniques and instructions. He then shifts the focus to hands-on guidance to fully improve and sharpen the attendees’ game. Clinics are also offered to resort guests and families every Saturday. Each clinic is an approachable 60 to 90 minutes.
A new addition to Grand Geneva golf instruction is a focus on youth lessons. Many new programs are being introduced, and Grand Geneva has the tools for any young player to either begin the game of golf or elevate their game. The PGA Junior League consists of different playing matches and practices throughout the summer, giving youth players a chance to meet fellow golfers and practice against one another in competition. While practicing on Thursdays, the youth golfers can experience one on one instruction from PGA Professionals, which can lead to better results during their weekly Sunday matches. Grand Geneva also offers tournament prep for youth golfers with more experience who are looking for more in-depth teaching about preparing for golf tournaments. Head Golf Professional, Rick Leslie gives guidance during a playing lesson on different aspects and strategies involved in playing in a tournament.
